ANOTHER powder day across the Canadian Rockies and Western Canada today (Saturday, January 8). These amounts were reported over the past 24 hours as Mother Nature continues to hammer Western Canada:

Panorama – 6cm in the past 24 hours.
Kicking Horse- 9cm / 1.5in (25cm /10 in in the past 48 hours)
Lake Louise – 10 cm / 3.9 in
Nakiska – 10 cm / 3.9 in past 24 hours & it’s still snowing!
Sunshine Village, Banff – 13 cm / 5.1 in
Kimberley – 13cm / 5.1in (26cm / 10.2in in the past 48 hours)
Jasper Marmot Basin – 26 cm / 10.2 in
Whistler Blackcomb – 21cm / 8in past 24 hours, 49cm / 19in past 48 hours, 79cm / 31 in in the past 7 days! Total snowfall to date: 708 cm / 276 in.
Fernie – 37cm / 14.6in (55cm / 21.7in in the past 48 hours)

Had an epic day at Kicking Horse today. Took the Powder Express from Banff. Lots of powder, no crowds. Epic.
